Who never...?

Children like to play a board game named "Guess who". The game is played with two boards full of faces  and with the players secretly choosing one character and then give each other details in order to find out who is the other player character. One will say "with black hair" so you put down all faces who don't have black hair, then the other will say "blue eyes" and you put down the ones without blue eyes and so on... the winner is the one who finds out first who the other player's character is... you get the gist.

After I started hanging out on Nora Roberts' inspired forums and blogs I noticed a pattern of "finding out" who could play Nora's characters... since our prolific writer has several movies made based on her novels, with the last being on Netflix, the bruah is always immense with "nothing like" "how dare they"  because let's face it actors are human whereas readers see Nora characters as someone (more) divine, and Nora knows it:

And I must say I am also guilty of thinking of a person who could be - at least physically - that Nora hero or heroine.

🎭 Let the "Nora Guessed Who" Game begin πŸŽ‰

And I decided to share with my visitors who I imagined as The MacGregor:

Team Thought Tom Cruise Died While Shooting the Crazy Helicopter Stunt

“How messed up?”
“Broke a lot of bones, bruised a few organs, sliced
some skin.” He shrugged, but Parker didn’t buy it
had been that simple, that casual.
“It sounds serious. How long were you in the
hospital?”
“Put me out for a while,” he continued in that same
careless tone.

This exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from Mission: Impossible – Fallout details how the actor did one of his most harrowing scenes.

"There was an audible gasp from the crowd. That's a huge drop," says Henry Cavill.

Cruise himself is pretty cavalier about the whole thing, having done crazy stuff like this for years.

"You know it's going to be a big impact. It really knocks the wind out of me," Cruise says.

Mentions in Nora's Books

“I like that better. Everyone’s connected. It’s not just Kevin Bacon.
If you work at it, you can put a handful of degrees between
almost any two people.”

Blood Brothers

_________
____________

"Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is a parlour game based on the "six degrees of separation" concept, which posits that any two people on Earth are six or fewer acquaintance links apart. Movie buffs challenge each other to find the shortest path between an arbitrary actor and prolific actor Kevin Bacon. It rests on the assumption that anyone involved in the Hollywood film industry can be linked through their film roles to Bacon within six steps. The game requires a group of players to try to connect any such individual to Kevin Bacon as quickly as possible and in as few links as possible." in wikipedia

Find the Bacon Number

The Bacon number of an actor or actress is the number of degrees of separation they have from the actor Kevin Bacon.
This is an application of the ErdΕ‘s number to the Hollywood movie industry.
The higher the Bacon number, the farther away from Kevin Bacon the actor is.

RIP Alan Rickman

Alan Rickman, Harry Potter and Die Hard actor, dies aged 69

------------------------------------

"What I do is…" She poured bubbling wine into his glass. "First, I'll take a big glass of wine up to
my bedroom, then I'll light candles. I'll put on something soft and comfortable, something that makes me feel relaxed. Feel… female. Then I get into bed with all the pillows arranged just so, because I'm about to take a journey just for myself. And when I'm ready… When I'm just sinking in… I watch my DVD of Truly, Madly, Deeply."
"You watch porn?"
"It's not porn." Laughing, she gave his arm a quick slap. "It's an amazing love story. Juliet Stevenson is devastated when the man she loves, Alan Rickman, dies. She's overwhelmed with grief. Oh, it's painful to watch." Eyes radiating emotion, she laid a hand just under her throat. "I cry buckets. Then he comes back as a ghost. He loves her so much. It rips your heart out, and it makes you laugh."
"Rips out your heart and makes you laugh?"
"Yes. Men never get that. I'm not going to tell you the whole thing, just that it's wrenching and
charming and sad and affirming. It's unspeakably romantic."
"And that's what you do, secretly, in your bed at night, when you're alone."
"It is. Hundreds of times. I've had to replace the DVD twice."
Obviously baffled, he studied her as he drank champagne. "A dead guy's romantic?"
"Hello? Alan Rickman"

I have a confession to make...

... until yesterday I didn't know who Timothy Olyphant was. Is.

First time I "heard" about him it was in:

_______________________

She stopped, faced him. “So. I want to get married.”
“To me?”
“No, to Timothy Olyphant, but I’m settling for you.”
“Okay.”
“That’s it?”
“I’m still dealing with Timothy Olyphant, so give me a minute. I think I’m better-looking.”
“You would.”
“No, seriously. I’ve got better hair. But anyway.” He swooped her in, right up to her toes.

.........

“I really do love you,” she told him. “It’s kind of astonishing.”
“I’m a hell of a catch. Really better than Olyphant.”

Chasing Fire

But last night I watched this movie:

And if you haven't, go for it!

Small wonder Rowan brought him up - you know when you're throwing an hunk against another you should aim for one they would think of "competition" so you won't get back the "patsy" remark ahahahah
Funny, how before "knowing" Olyphant I'd imagine Gull pretty much this kind of guy
 - body, gestures, the tee-shirts and jeans type, soul... even the hair ahahahahah.

Valentine's is here! Watch the Movie! Read Chasing Fire! Love, Laugh and Live!!!
