Group Halloween Costume Ideas
Amused, he walked over to the booth of superheroes, checked out Clare. She made one hell of a Storm of the X-Men, he decided, in a white punk-style wig and snug black skirt and thigh-high boots.
“Excuse me, ma’am, I’m looking for three boys. They’re about this high.” He used his hand to measure like steps. “They go by Harry, Liam, and Murphy.”
“I’m sorry, I haven’t seen them. I’m Storm, and these are my friends and coworkers, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Deadpool.”

The hulls would serve as decorations on her front porch.
Big, fat, scary pumpkins to entertain the neighbors and
children.
She was up to her elbows in pumpkin meat and seeds
when Zack strolled in the door. "I get to do the
third one." He came up behind her, wrapping his
arms tight, nuzzling her neck. "I'm a jack-o'-lantern

He saw Avery, long blond wig tied back, tossing dough to the delight
of her audience of pint-sized superheroes, fairy princesses, and ghouls.
“Hannah Montana?” he called out.
She tapped the plastic wood-grained stake in her belt before she caught the dough.
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
“Cute.”
“Not if you’re a vampire.”

What area of your house were you afraid of as a kid?
“Where . . . Oh God, Del, not one of the basements.”
“How many attics and basements are in this place?” Mal whispered to Emma.
“Three attics, two—no, three basements if you count the scary boiler room where the demons who eat the flesh of young girls live.”
“Cool.”
“Sure, if you’re a young boy like Del was.” Emma narrowed her dark eyes as she glared across the table. “But if you’re a young girl playing Treasure Hunt, you could be scarred for life by a certain mean boy with a flashlight with a red bulb, a shambling walk, and a low, maniacal laugh.”
She picked up her wine, shuddered a little. “I still can’t go down there.”

Real-Life Haunted Houses You Need to See
"He's in Rolling Hills today. Well, not exactly in, but outside.
Do you remember hearing about that old mansion no one ever
seems able to live in for long? The one a few miles off the beach?"
"It's supposed to be haunted," A.J. muttered.

Halloween Displays to Inspire
Mia treated a young space explorer. The bookstore was one of the most popular spots on Halloween.
She had dancing skeletons, grinning pumpkins, flying ghosts, and, of course, a coven of witches.
Her usual store music had been replaced with howls and shrieks and rattling chains.

Horror Movies to Get You Into the Halloween Spirit
"Good horror fiction's supposed to make you wake up at 3:00 A.M.

Let me start off by saying that fall and horror movies are two of my favorite things. Put them together and it's my absolute favorite time of year. As a child, horror movies would terrify me, but now I actually thoroughly enjoy them. Not much scares me anymore and I have no problem watching a horror movie or two, even before bed, especially during this glorious time of year. After you have seen as many of them as I have, there's not much left to fear. If you love to get scared and want to have a blast doing it, check out my personal horror movie recommendations below.

It took them two hours to transform Spence's elegantly decorated living room into a spooky dungeon, fit for rats and screams of torture.
Black and orange crepe paper hung on the walls and ceiling. Angel-hair cobwebs draped the corners. A mummy, arms folded across its chest leaned in a corner.

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble."
He glanced over, studied a small group of people on the opposite side of the street. They were decked in flowing robes and weighed down with silver chains and crystal pendants.
“Amateurs,” he commented.
“They’re harmless.”
“We could call up a storm, turn the street into a meadow. Give them a real thrill.”
